Gold Coast families: does your child's NDIS plan run out before the goals do? Have you heard of an allied health assistant? Ruby Van Den Driest, allied health assistant and third-year speech pathology student, joins our team on Tuesday 6 October. From the week after, she delivers extra practice on the plan your Centered Space clinician designs, at home, at school or in the community, guided by our speech pathologists and occupational therapists together, so speech and OT goals get worked on in the same session. Her sessions are billed at a lower hourly rate than a clinician's, so the plan stretches further. More therapy, more often, from the same budget. The waitlist is open now.

How it works

Your clinician designs it. Ruby practises it, where the goal lives.

Ruby does not assess, diagnose or change the plan. That is the point: more repetitions of the right plan, and one team talking to itself.

01 Your clinician designs the program 02 Ruby delivers the practice, where the goal lives 03 Her notes go back to your clinician, who decides the next step

Clinician-designed

A Centered Space speech pathologist or occupational therapist gets to know your child and designs the plan. The plan stays theirs.

Practised where it lives

At home, at school or in the community, so the skill is built in the place it is needed, not left behind in a room.

Guided by both

Ruby works across our speech pathology and occupational therapy team, guided by both, so your child gets one joined-up plan and not two.

Who the waitlist is for

Already with us, or new to us. Both start here.

Already with a Centered Space clinician

Join the list and we will match Ruby's sessions to your current plan, in the order the list arrived.

New to The Centered Space

Your first step is a speech pathologist or occupational therapist who gets to know your child and designs the plan. Tell us on the form and we start there.

Why families choose this

More therapy, more often, from the same budget.

Not a replacement for your clinician. A second pair of hands on the same plan. The clinician's time goes into assessment, design and supervision, while Ruby delivers the practice at a lower hourly rate, so the plan buys more goal-directed practice, not fewer sessions.

Joining the list is not a booking. It is a queue, and it fills in order. When it is your turn, a real person calls to talk through what you are looking for. No pressure, and nothing to sign up for on the call.

Funding

How NDIS funding works for this.

We will always be straight with you about funding, and we help you understand your plan in plain language.

NDIS funding may cover therapy assistant supports where it aligns with the participant's goals and approved plan. Not all NDIS plans include these supports.

We never charge you to help you understand the NDIS. Sessions are billed in line with the NDIS price guide, and we confirm current rates with you in writing before any work begins.
